I find it hard to believe that Agatha Christie wrote this book. Passenger to Frankfurt. And I think for that Mrs. Christie herself is to be blamed entirely. It kept me interested, but for those expecting,or hoping for, a typical Agatha Christie murder-amid-the-teacups novel, be prepared to be disappointed. Apparently, in her old age Dame Agatha decided to be quirky! Poor old Christie was missing something: a coherent plot. The book seems to be trying to make sense of the student riots, cold war and fall out from the 2WW resulting in long paragraphs throughout the book trying and struggling to try and make sense of the different political movements and idealism emerging from the sixties onwards, changing the world as she knew it. The end is the weakest link. I feel sad giving only 1 star to an Agatha Christie novel, as I have found almost every other book I've read of hers really intriguing. I really couldn't get into the plot, nor could I even understand what was going on half the time because the story seemed to jump around a lot and lose focus.
